Hi

Welcome to the Fabia VRS members clan.

Car after remap would keep up with most vehicles capable of doing 135/145 MPH top speed, its rather the sheer acceleration where it has its edge.

Need an anti-roll bar on rear helps with cornering, remap soon invites replacement clutch depending mileage or when last replaced.

Being an ex fabia vRS owner - with map, I would recommend you get an untouched one, then map & mod it to your liking, as the one you get may not suit you, Some maps are targeted for a punchy acceleration, which doesnt actually benefit your wallet as much, some maps will give you a smoother linear acceleration, which can in some cases help the wallet and is more clutch friendly, it depends what you want.

See you are a clio cup 182 owner, would recommend you drive a Fabia vRS 1st, as you will find the diving style very different from your petrol.

What I personally found & enjoyed with the car (in some cases miss) was on the motorway, when stuck in a line of traffic, with a BMW5 series or Merc on your tail, wanting to get past ( even though there is a line in front of you), Once the traffic has cleared, the acceleration from 50 to legal limit is phenominal & I have had many of these drivers overtake me later looking bemused & puzzeled as to what the car is ? .

Hope you find what youre looking for.

agreed, its strenghts are mid-range acceleration, overtaking on a-roads, motorways ect.. most mapped ones will make 0-60 in 7-8 seconds, but thats not its strength, the short first gear, added to short revs and massive torque, just make it quite hard to get a flying start from standstill! however 50-70 in gear times for a mapped car are pretty impressive. and compaired to the clio, you shouldn't see less than 45mpg unless you are on a track, and 50+ when you are on your daily commute
