Maximum Torque?

Featured Replies

I will be going to Revo Stage 2 in the next few weeks after the Milltek downpipe is fitted. Having done a little reading on the Scirocco forum, I stumbled across a thread with this rolling road printout of stage 2.

The scirocco in question has a similar setup to mine, Milltek TBE and ITG intake, so I am assuming the figures will be similar and accurate as its a DD rolling road. Just a little concerned about the amount of torque, 355lbft! How do you guys with stage 2-3 get on with the standard clutch? Mine only has 18k on it so relatively new, can it take it?

I maybe wrong but I think that the Cupra and ED30 run the same components with the exception of the K04 and ancillaries, so provided you uprate the clutch you could go to silly torque levels.

I remember hearing the clutch was only good for 300lb/ft, but having been on some of the US forums, some guys are having clutch failures with stage 1 torque levels, so I would imagine with stage 2 you would almost certainly need a clutch upgrade, APR seem to have had great success with an uprated clutch disc while using standard pressure plate etc. cant quite remember details right now though.

I have run a 57 plate tfsi for comming up to 4 years at stage 2 revo with full miltek, forge twincooler, forge induction and recently a hpfp all set up with the help of kev at revo using vagcom and our vas 5051b logging etc. dont know what figures it was producing but it certainly shifts and it gets used, with no clutch issues at all. i bought it brand new and its done 17k all with the mods as mentioned above.

Any news on your build date mate?
