2010 Superb Estate .... No Bluetooth?

Featured Replies

Hello all from sunny France.......

I just brought a 9 month old Superb Estate Praha (thats the top spec here) and was very surprised when the dealer said it did not have Bluetooth. I collect the car in about a week and a half and have chosen an additional Parrot kit to be fitted for hands free use. However, I just found a 2010 Superb Estate brochure which specifies that Bluetooth is standard on the Praha.......

Does anybody know of 2010 Superbs with Columbus GPS and no bluetooth? I would question the dealers more if I could parlez the language better!!!!!

Thanks

Phil

In the UK Bluetooth has always been std on the Elegance estate (which is fitted with the Columbus) however there are quite a few differences in spec's from country to country, some things we get are std and other countries have to pay extra for and vice versa.

Thanks Gizmo for the answer....But I would have thought the dealer would have offerde the Skoda bluetooth....as I said the 2010 French Superb Combi catalogue said that Bluetooth was standard.....I hate to think that I am paying for a Parrot installation if their is a Skoda option or even payiung for it when I have the top spec anyway!!!!!

I might have to visit him again and try to question him further with a copy of the 2010 brochure.

Cheers

Phil

When I was a Fix Or Repair Daily owner, I found that often every option was fitted to the car when it was built but only enabled if you bought the "right" model. The bluetooth in the Ghia X was fitted but it cost me £100 at the local garage to have the dash taken out and two wires connected to make it all come to life.

You may find this thred of use http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/189618-rsap-bluetooth-to-handsfree-sucess/ which details where to find the bluetooth unit and which one works with which phone.

Cheers Dave

Easiest way, is to sit in the car turn ignition on, power up the columbus and press the phone button. If the audio mutes then no bluetooth is present, if you get another screen with SOS in the top right corner then you already have bluetooth.

Thanks all for the replies. Got the car a few weeks ago.....Great Car and have already driven 3 000 kms down into Spain for a holiday and back!

Well the car definitely was not equipped with Bluetooth!......and it is still not equipped with Parrot that I paid the STEALER to put in. Nor is the Dog Guard put in that I had negotiated into the prices.....nor are the small scratches and little ding in the tailgate sorted that was part of the deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not happy at all with my Skoda dealer....although losing my temper definitely improved my French.

Now I am waiting for a date when they can do the work to the car!!!!!!

So if anybody else here in Toulouse in France (cant imagine there are too many!) wants to buy a car from Sterling Automobiles in Labege....negotiate terms and dates very carefully!!!!!!!

Cheers

Phil
