Question. How do you remove the side panel of the centre console to hide the wiring? Does that also give you access to the power socket wiring?

I was able to tease the passengers side panel off very carefully as it is held on with plastic moulded lugs. Once off there is a lovely amount of room for the Hands free control unit and the mass of wires.

As for the power source this comes off the top two fuses on the fuse panel that is on the drivers door side of the dashboard.

It all went very well. I would think i could have used the 12v socket but I had not thought of picking those wires up!

I use iWeb which formats the layout from a large range of pre formated pages use the Blog option and just add a page bring a picture in and a bit of verse and then send.

Downside... there is no free lunch

You need to buy iWeb and have a dot mac account

I thought iWeb came free with the iLife package?

Also thought Apple were going to trash iWeb with LION and the deletion of mobile me? I have a mobile me account and not sure how this will evolve when they stop it. As far as I know, I will be able to keep my email..?

You are right iWeb is part of the iLife package but what will happen to it or Mobile me after Lion is anybodies guess

As a web site creator it is very nice until you want to save to another non mac site then it is possible but tedious.

With regards to the aux in jack, there are some on Ebay. If remove the stereo following one of Great Yeti's post, you will see 2 black sockets in the back and one of them is for enabling Aux. http://www.my-gti.com/1319/volkswagen-rcd-310-pin-assignments
