Well it's that time of year again for the annual family and friends trip to the mainland. This time two weeks in the South West and South Wales visting people I've haven't seen for at least a year.

It's the first trip away with the Yeti so time to put some miles on it, been trying hard since I took delivery in January but have only managed 800 so far. Will also be able to do more that 40mph (local limit)

The biggest shock will be the price of fuel, still paying £1.09 at litre here, so it will be brimmed before the ferry on Wednesday.

Those keen Yeti spotter out there be on the lookout for a Cappuccino on a 'J' plate.

If I was paying £1.09/litre for fuel I'd stay where I was!

The mainland price will certainly come as a shock although it has come down a bit in the last few days, £1.379/lt for diesel locally today.

Wow. I would LOVE to pay £1,09 for a litre! But thankfully prices have dropped. I saw that ASDA is selling their broth now for £1,329/litre!
