hi peeps after 130 mile drive my car has developed a strange knocking noise when under power!! take your foot off or press clutch in and it goes. doesnt do it all the time but most of time if just lightly pressing peddle, seems worse in 4th and 5th and its not that loud but you can hear its coming from the engine bay!!

any ideas gearbox was recon along with new clutch 18 months ago also does it it straight line so dont think its outter cv

When you had the clutch changed did they change the flywheel at all? Does sound like a possible issue with that?

hi mate no just had clutch cover and plate done!! is strange cos it doesnt do it all the time but most of time!! i did have a inner cv boot changed about 6 weeks ago as had split in mine which could have been weeks so maybe it could be that cv that is making noise!! its had to pin down so still unsure and dont want to keep spending out on getting it stripped down!! some people have said could be cv, clutch, gearbox or big ends in engine so where do you start?
