Ebay diagnostic lead

Featured Replies

Hello all.

I recently bought a cheap diagnostic cable from ebay and am running VCDS-lite, cable works fine, connects to the car and reads fault codes no problems, I am wondering what other tasks I can perform with a cheap cable and unregistered VCDS and is it worth putting my name on the list for VAG-COM owners, thanks for any info or advice

At last check price was about £100. A significant saving on the official cable, useful if you only need to use it on older vehicles.

It costs $99 to register VCDS-lite. That's about £62.

Thanks for replies, the unregistered version will do me for now, probably get a proper lead in the future rather than register with the cheap lead.

If you register for a VCDS-Lite license, the money you spend on it will be taken off the price when you decide to buy a real VCDS setup. B)

Thanks for the tip  I think i'll register then, if I do it this way i'll actually save a dollar when I upgrade
