Was told today by chequered flag skoda that i can not fit auto lights tunnels lights to my 05reg fsi elegance my car has rain wipers and dimming mirrors. He said as no additional wires for them to be fitted too this was by e mail they did not see car

is that right or can i have i done on my car

If its missing the wiring then there will also be no sensors etc. I retro fitted the auto lights feature to my old 206 using an aftermarket kit from ebay. The wipers are probably something that will be near impossible to do with a kit and will probably only be a pain in the arse anyway.

The dealer is right. Would likely cost too much to be worth considering.

Elegance version usually have rain sensor (which incorporates light sensor) as standard but no auto light.

It's usually a wire missing from the light switch to control unit andxakso needs replacing to an auto light switch and needs software coding.

Yes it can be retrofitted and number of briskodians have retrofitted one. Please search for word 'light assist '

Repair wire around £10 and light switch around £45 plus try someone from forum regarding coding. Independent dealers may charge £45 for coding.

That is what i was thinking if car has dimming mirrors and auto wipers then not a big job to fit auto lights
