this could be a new one, but i tried fitting my bonnet struts the other day and on the drivers side where the strut screws into the bonnet, the part has dissapeared which its supposed to screw into, the thread i think (sorry dont know what its called).

The only idea i have is to permanantly fix it to the bonnet ie a good glue, but as mine were cheapo ones I wouldn't be supprised if they failed, so isn't really an option lol.

Now would just one strut be strong enough on its own?

I've seen the idea on here of using a boot strut but dont really want to be creating any more holes.

Is it worth looking at how any vectra struts work and copying from that?
