Replacing the brakefluid

Featured Replies

Gonna replace the frontbrakes and I'm thinking off replacing the brakefluid totally.

But how's the best way to do it? I've never emptied any brakesystem before...

What do you think off replacing the brakefluid for an uprated fluid?

Best one to use is DOT5.1 fluid, using a Gunson eezibleed or other pressure bleeder. I used ATE Super blue fluid last time, so I could see when the new stuff came through.

DO NOT empty the system though - It's a PITA to refill and bleed as you need vagcom to bleed the abs / esp module.

That sounds like a good idea, to notice when the new fluid is coming that is.

I won't be fully empty the system even tho I got VAG-COM ;).
