Skoda Fabia 1.4 VCDS questions

Featured Replies

Have just gone to use air-con and it doesn't work (again).

Run vag com and it's come back with:

Sunday, 10 July 2011, 14:22:46.

VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1

Control Module Part Number: 6Y0 820 045

Component and/or Version: Klimaanlage X0830

Software Coding:

Work Shop Code:

VCID: F297D9CBADA1

1 Fault Found:

00818 - Sensor for Evaporator Outlet Temperature (G263)

29-00 - Short to Ground

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you think this could be something wrong with the wiring or a faulty sensor? Seems weird to have started playing up all of a sudden.

Also the readiness on the engine module reads:

Is this normal? :/

Thanks but I was just wondering if it was either the wiring or a faulty sensor, seems weird to have just started playing up after getting the air con working (had to recode the ECU due to it having the wrong software code)

As the fault code description above explains it could be either the wiring or the sensor.

Check the wiring first (especially the plug) and it all looks OK then a new sensor would be the next step.

Okay thank you. Any ideas on the engine readiness?
