well i couldn't help myself could i, i had to go and fit it. in the dark. without a torch. while its snowing. sounds a bit silly now i look back

i also took a picture, its with my phone and its dark so its a bit rubbish but you get the general idea. turns out that it is an absolute doddle to fit so i didn't really see the need for a how to.

i am pleasantly surprised by the new addition, it gives the car a slightly different note but not really any louder, no real induction noise which i like but what it does do is make the turbo louder and the DV lots louder which i also like. really can't wait for blueflame and jabba now

piece o cake, 2 rubber mounted bolts(10mm) hold it to the body, one nut(also 10mm) holding the little inlet pipe into the airbox to the body and 2 screws holding the maf to the airbox, took all of about 5 mins to remove and another 10 mins to fit the new filter and adapters.

not totally finished in all honestyas i don't think the n/s grill actually has a ny holes in it, i am going to remove the offending article and make it match the other side(i.e. with holes)

right, finished it now pretty much. modded the lower grille and put the ducting in place and sprayed it black very subtle

sounds different now that the duct is pointing outwards rather than enclosed in the bumper

tbh honest not totally sure its SS, will go and check in a moment. if it is i might consider trying to replace the element with a cotton version

have you noticed any performance gain? better response?

it does seem a little better but i don't know if it actually is or if its just in my mind. if anything it seems better at the top. tbh this has been done in preperation for jabbafacation.

and btw yes, it is a SS filter :(
