Well, today my Fabia had it's 2nd MOT and passed with a little bit of tweaking. Emissions sailed through, well under the max allowable, even with the tuning box on. However, it failed on N/S/R indicator bulb flashing the wrong colour - it flashes a paler orange than the O/S/R but this was actually changed by the garage I bought the car from to get through their MOT last year! Also the tester said that the driver's seat had too much play in it and it was, in his opinion, dangerous to drive! :eek: Funnily enough, before the last MOT, the garage took the seat out to fix the duff heating element so I wonder if they were responsible for that too! :confused:

Anyways, the car is all fixed now and has an MOT for another year, and I'm glad the tester today was so thorough. Big thumbs up to Winchester Motor Company!

.....and how many cars fail when they should have passed I took my old (pre-Fabia vRS) VW Golf GTi 1.8T back to my local dealer (where I had bought it brand new) for its MOT and they failed it on rear suspension bush wear. The next day I took it to the "MOT Centre" in the same town and it passed first time :eek: This saved me
