Replace Stream MP3 car radio

Featured Replies

I have a 09 Skoda Octavia Elegance TDI bought from Vindis Cambridge 18 months ago. My CD Radio Stream MP3 has failed under warranty. Vindis in Cambridge have replaced it with a DANCE and are ordering a fascia surround but it does not run my CD changer or connect up to the IPOD. Vindis say Skoda UK stopped producing my Stream MP3 and have no like for like replacements available. Skoda have offered me a free service but that does not solve my problem. The CD changer and ipod connection was one of the reasons why I bought the Elegance model in the first place. I will argue with Skoda UK but any ideas about what I can use instead of the DANCE?

The bolero would be the logical replacement IMO

I got my stream stereo replaced with the dance unit as well. The multi changer worked no problem when it was first fitted, but the ipod/aux port didn't work. I tried to argue with skoda uk that the dance unit wasn't a satisfactory replacement for the stream stereo, but eventually I was told that they could activate the aux port. I took my car back to the dealer and they managed to get it working.

If I'd known then what I know now, I'd be pushing for a bolero unit. I'd even offer to pay some cash towards the replacement. The dance unit is very basic, it doesn't even look very nice. It does have ok sound quality though.
