Hi There

I have recently become the proud owner of a race brue otavia vrs 2.0l fsi.

Been a fan of the car for a while and finnally got round to getting rid of my old rover to 200hp machine lol.

will certainly take some getting used too!

Might aswell introduce myself with a blonde question.

whilst sitting in the car and as neb do, i was pressing a lot of diffrent things with no regard to what they did and of course i didn't read the handbook. \i now notice that when i unlock the car only the drivers door and fuel cap are released using the keyfob. is this normal?

After swallowing my pride i read the central locking part of the manual but still find myself not knowing how it works. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks all and i look forward to your replies.

(preferably help not on how thick i am :p )

On my old 2005 Fabia VRS, one press on key fob will only unlock drivers door.

Whereas two presses on key fob will unlock all doors and tail-gate.

My fuel release flap is a manual type with a lever beside drivers seat is raised to release/ open fuel flap.

Thanks i'll certainly give that a go. Told you i was thick lol

This is correct - they call it single point entry - it's a security feature, if you are going to be in the car alone it acts as an anti-hijack feature as you only need the drivers door open! Two quick presses will indeed grant access to the other doors and boot!
