Fabia VRS MK 1 facia tray removal ?

Featured Replies

How do I remove the tray/ pocket thingy that sits just below the radio/cd player, it seems sloppy and on the loose sort of fit, and definitely do not wish to damage on removing it.

I did find two screws below the heater controls that screw up from central console direction, so without trying to remove them, I thought I would ask someone here with greater know-how than me.

Thanks for any input, (I tried 'Search' ) that got me no-where.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Just love it when you talk dirty.

Seriously, will try the good old yank out (leaving everything else in situ), not much to hold to though. (always had that problem).emoticon-0140-rofl.gif LOL

There is a little lip on the bottom you can just hook your fingers on, if not butter knife ither side like your popping the radio out, ifyou can get the radio out first it's sooooo much Easyer

Well after a lot of huffing and puffing spent £3.99 at 'Halfords' for the 'Kenwood 01> radio removal keys (pair).

Codes etc on box 'AUTOLEADS' PC5-107-H

Fellow said without looking I wanted the 'Continental' radio removal keys, so I toddled out to the car and found that these were too wide and so not correct.

He finally after a facial denial, gave me the 'Kenwood' radio keys and came with me out to the car to test out, you should have seen the expression on his face of disbelief, when radio slipped out. LOL

So thanks to everyone who directed me in the right direction.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Have now decided to hardwire TomTom satnav (c/o E-Bay £9.99) and not to have the metre length of cable trailing from window to cigarette lighter behind handbrake lever.

Seems lighter holder is larger than the charger barrel, so wobbles about and breaks contact if cable is touched.
