Bluetooth issues

Featured Replies

Guys,

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I picked my new Scout up last week and am really enjoying it, with one exception.

My Blackberry 9700 Bold will not sync with the car, or rather it will as an Audio source, but not as a phone. It goes through the whole preocedure, type in the code numbers etc, it then says 'connecting' (at which point the phone actually says that it is connected) and sits there for a couple of minutes and then says 'connection not possible'.

The phone should be compatible (looking at Skodas latest list) and so I am now booked into the garage on Monday for them to have a longer look at it (they have had a quick look already).

I just wondered if anyone had any smart ideas that I could try over the weekend, to see if it woul link up.

Thanks,

Tony

Hi I am in the same boat. There is a long long thread about phone compatibility so it looks like we are not the only ones.

Tony there is a lot of stuff on the main thread. Suffice to say that you should make sure Bluetooth is enabled on phone and 'always visible' turn off rsap in Bluetooth options on phone. MAke sure handsfree is ticked. Then decouple everything so no phone on car memory and no car on phone memory. Then start again. Put the Blackberry Bluetooth connection option to 'Listen' rather than 'search' and then go to the car contorls and ask the car to search for devices. The car will give you a 16 digit code and the phone prompts you to enter it on the phone. That should be it. Every time you switch on thereafter all you will get is an 'accept connection request from Skoda BT' which you say yes to on phone and you are away. Hope helps if garage hasn't managed!
