Is it an aftermarket stereo that's in there or is it the original Skoda one?

If it's the skoda one, Kenwood removal keys usually do the trick. Failing that, your local dealer will usually remove it free of charge if you ask nicely enough.

it is a orignal skoda one

say "skoda auto symphony" on the stereo.

In that case the kenwood removal keys will do the job.

If you've never fitted a new head unit before, it's pretty straight forward.

You'll need a booster for the aerial as this is built into the standard headunit, and you might need an adapter to take the loom from SkodaISO to proper ISO. You may find however that your new unit has bullit connectors for the permanent and ignition 12+, in which case they simply need swapping around.

You'll also need the bit of fascia trim to go above the new unit as the Skoda model is slightly taller than single DIN and removing it leaves a gap. This is £3 from your dealer.

If you're still stuck, have a search on here and the Fabia 1 section, there is plenty of info.

what about the front door speakers ?

what about the front door speakers ?

They're actually not that bad. Replace the head unit and see how you get on with them. You might find that the sound quality is a lot better with a new headunit.
