How does this deal sound for a Superb Greenline S?

Featured Replies

I have a Mk1 2.5TDi Elegance that I am thinking of replacing around January next year. Unfortunately, cash flow is dictating that rather than an outright purchase I am considering a 3 year lease. I also cannot really afford to replace the Elegance I now have with anything other than the poverty "S" trim which is a shame, but that's life. So I have been looking at a Greenline S hatch back and have been offered a 3 + 35 month, 10k miles a year, fully maintained lease that works out at £302 a month including the VAT for 36 months. I reckon I will actually do about 12 to 13k miles a year and the excess miles on the maintained plan are 10p a mile plus VAT, so 12p a mile inclusive. The attraction is that I would have pretty much known costs for the next three years and I can just walk away from the vehicle having effectively paid for the depreciation. How does this sound? I have only ever been a cash buyer of cars previously. BTW, the lease is from a Skoda dealer, I don't fancy taking a lease out with any other company. Thanks.
