Morning all, I recently bought an octavia. The dealer told me there was no remote central locking with it so I was going to buy a kit for it and get my mechanic to install it for me. The mechanic thinks there may be remote central locking installed on the car already and I might just need to get a keyfob, with the right code on it obviously. He's worked with Seats which, he says, all have remote central locking but times just come without the keyfob.

Anyone clarify this for me?

What year and model is your Octavia?

Irish spec cars might be different but I thought some early Classic models came without a remote for central locking just the basic open the drivers door with the key and the others unlock.

It's a 2005 MkII Classic & English reg originally
