I have just bought a VRS 170 TDI, current mods are: BMC pannel filter, miltek down pipe, (to do away with DPF) and a re-map, now wanting a front mount intercooler - anyone know where I can get one??

You already have one

S3 one is the favoured one but expensive with the pipework required and then after that its aftermarket route which are more expensive again. How far you planning on going with the car mate as i would say that as you stand with those mods you dont need that big expense yet.

Not looked to deeply into the diesel modifying so someone correct me if im wrong and the intercooler will make a big difference.

I had a bespoke one built for my Petrol Octy by Allards http://www.allardaluminiumproducts.co.uk/ Fantastic quality, brilliant performance & cheaper than anywhere else I could find at the time.

They have done a huge amount of work on tuning diesels so might be worth a brain picking call anyway before you go to far to see whats worth doing. They may well have an off the shelf one to fit the octy.

Be wary of cheaper ones as they used to be glued together, not soldered
