Churchill & Remaps?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if Churchill are "Map Friendly"?

Has anyone got insurance with Churchill and added a remap after the start of the policy?

Thanks in advance.

I would say not.

I work within the same group that owns them and they will deffinatley charge you.

The increase will be dependant on the overall bhp % increase plus wack your xs up by at least £150

Well so far i'm getting a few different answers from Churchill.

The latest answer yesterday afternoon after several phone calls is that if it meets all the criteria (cant remeber everything but over 25 etc) and the key criteria being it doesnt increase BHP by more than 20% it should be still insurable.

Yes there will be a AP (additional Premium) and yes it does increase your XS to a compulsory £250.

So on a 180 BHP engine you can go up to 214 BHP (19%) B)

May be worth considering a specilaist insurer with no BHP limitations..

Yeah I know (in a little britian style). I have a modified car and good contacts for insurance. And every company/policy will have some kind of BHP restriction even if its a maximum. I wish there was no restirctions as that would mean cheap insurance for a high BHP car.

Problem is this isnt my car its my dads and hes only just renewed the insurance within the last month. I'm just helping him get the car sorted to how he wants it.

Any way its all out of the window now as it turns out hes not even insured with Churchill and his current insurer will not insure a modified vehicle. You have to laugh

We have no BHP restrictions, as long as your car is not NOS equipped then (excuse the pun) the Sky is the limit!
