Kerbed Alloy

Featured Replies

Hello.

Lunatic driver! me? (i was the other mornin) :'(

Took a chunk out of my tyre so new one required anyway. Alloy not toooooo badly damaged fortunately, will get it checked out tho, & i found a nail in the tyre, eh, lucky me.

Regarding tracking, am i right in thinking IF the tracking is done properly, this should reset the steering wheel centrally? (it has been slightly offset since purchase-no pulling or problems tho).

Probably go to F1 tyres, any thoughts.

Cheers.

Hi, my steering wheel is slightly offset as it was from new, I think thats how they all are.

Not true, steering can and should be dead centre. There are plenty of threads on here about poor gemetry set-up from new, causing all sorts of issues, including premature tyre wear. From what I have read very few dealers have the necessary equipment to do a proper full 4 wheel alignment. Get your vehicle down to a decent tyre centre / garage and pay for this to be done. It will improve handling and prevent uneven tyre wear. £40 - £60 is all it will cost, which you will more than recoup on greater wear from the tyres if it turns out to be badly out of alignment.
