Air Con Woes

Air con never really blows cold any more, turn temp up to 29 and get heat within a few minutes but down to 16 and the air isn't what you would call cold

Guy came out to check gas and he said no leaks on system and he couldn't explain why it wasn't blowing cold!

I'm a bit adverse at taking it in to a garage as I don't want to incur heavy expense for something which is not detrimental to the running off the car plus I've just forked out for a new timing belt/water pump.

Any tips would be appreciated

do a search on here for 'air con' and you'll soon find some suggestions!! Next suggestion would be to work out if your compressor is working (and there's plenty of help on this forum for doing that)!
