coming home leaving home lights.

Featured Replies

I have a new vRS but cannot seem to make the coming home leaving home lights work correctly.

My old golf used to go on and off when you unlocked the car.

My Octavia lights will come on when the light switch has been in auto and I un lock the car in the dark but I cannot make them come on when I lock the car in the dark after driving it this I suppose would be the coming home function.

Any advice please.

It can be enabled and disabled in the maxi dot

Have tried this why does leaving home work but not coming home.

I'm not sure. are they both activated ? I know on mine they can be turned on and off independently and I can adjust the time they stay on for

Mines work fine, try checking the settings!

Coming home and leaving home lights cant be activated on the FL without Auto lights

BUT they can be on the Mk2

As you do have the Auto option, then it can be enabled by your dealer or by VCDS

It's an FL, with auto lights - so the correct settings should be available to you via Maxidot as default.

You have got Maxidot, haven't you? :)

I think Wardy has hit the nail on the head there. The OP doesn't state if he has maxidot installed. If not then it is a trip to the dealers. Before you do that though Matt, why don't you try something else first, when you get home before turning the ignition off, turn the headlights on rather than relying on the auto position. Switch off the car get out and lock it. I wouldn't be surprised if the lights stayed on for about 30 secs before turning themselves off.

Yes, just struck me on the Maxidot question as I looked over the details that it wasn't clear :)
