I have just enabled the hidden menu feature using VCDS on my Bolero. Anyone know how to get in to it? I thought you just kept holding setup down and after the FM/AM test menu it appeared?

Haven't got a clue what is in there - just fancied a look!

Also, anyone know how to enable the driving school function - I can change the value to 1 to enable it, but it won't allow me to save it - the save button remains greyed out?

And finally, which combination of button presses reboots a bolero? I pulled the radio fuse to see if that would do it, as I think you need to cold boot the unit after enabling the hidden menu.

Sorted the hidden menu - you just need to hold the setup button in for about 30 seconds.#

Nothing really of interest in there other than you can turn loudness on and off, all the rest is diagnostic readouts.

Still haven't worked out the driving school mode though.

What's this Driving School Mode supposed to do anyway? If I ever get mine working properly

Show the vehicle speed on the HU. Not sure if this is when it is turned on or off, I am struggling to find info.

there was another menu on the Bolero/FL that I stumbled into - I think it was a combination of climate buttons to get into it.

Do you mean a cold boot or a reset to default settings?

I am sure it is one of the standard menus for a reset, for a cold boot I pulled the radio fuse :-)

Full reset Andy, as in 'cold boot' yes. I know there's a sequence of buttons on the Columbus, just thought it might be the same on the Bolero.

I can't activate it on mine - I 'think' it has be activated at the factory, although VCDS has a prompt about enabling it through the menu on the HU???
