I have a green vRS with the black pack and roof, and I'm picking up a set of steel wheels tomorrow. They need a lick of paint and I was wondering what colour do you lot think I should go with.

TBH I'm thinking gloss black, as thats the colour of the wheels I have just now, but I'm open to suggestions.

gloss black would look good

Where did you get 17" x 100 steel wheels from please?

I got 15 5x100

Enough room to clear the brakes and im running 195 65 tyres. 2.3% more but the fabia has a Winter Tyre mode in the MDF Car Settings to adjust the speedo +/- 5mph which this falls into.

Ooooh now thats a useful bit of info, I will need to get some steelies for my 195/65x15 snowtrac3's that are on rims to fit my Stilo at the moment.

Did you get the rims off ebay or from a scrappy?

Just a tip : you know that you have the same boltpattern on the last-gen polo, ibiza, vw golf mkIV, skoda octavia mkI and more?

I have 5*100 15" winterwheels, but will sell them since I have a spare set off Gigaros x).

I got them off ebay, £35 for four wheels and £40 for delivery haha! Shocking!

Yeah most VAG wheels will fit, but the alloys tend to be more than steelies. If I was that fashion concious I'd pick up a set of VW alloys but meh, steelies are just as good tbh!

Yeah the fabia has a setting under vehicle settings where you can adjust for winter tyres. As long as your within +/-5mph with the new wheel sizes you're ok.

Picked up some Satin Hammerite and some thinner. Just gotta get them prepared and then sprayed!
