Columbus with parrot MKI9200

Featured Replies

Hi,

My LE octavia has a parrot MKI9200 fitted to it at the moment.

Does anyone know if i was to change the Bolero to a Columbus unit whether or not the connector for the parrot unit would be the same or not?

Cheers

It would be the same as the cabling does not change.

Yes I can second that, no problems at all. I have a parrot and went from a stream mp3 to a Columbus, the connectors are identical. Good luck!

Does anyone know if it is just a plug and play to get the directions to come up on the maxidot or does that not work on the Skoda (i borrowed a audi once where the directions came up on the maxidot)?

Your LE has got the FL modules i think so it will be plug and play in the respect that it will work but to get the directions on the maxidot it will need coding on the maxidot (30 second job, just a tick box). I got my sat nav in July last year and only last month had it coded to work with the maxidot......so it isn't really needed! B)

Thanks for the responses guys.

Does anyone know if any of the ones on ebay come from reputable companies? You can get one for between £400 - £500 with a 12 month warranty.

Cheers
