Service Due?

Featured Replies

I an trying to get my head around when my service is due.

I have a 2009 1.9 Diesel Octy estate FL. I bought it from a Skoda dealer 12 Months old 14,000 mls 12 months ago in 2010.

The service book says it is VARIALBLE service.

However, I think it has been changed to FIXED as it was serviced by the dealer who sold it me just before I bought it.

The service book (filled in by the dealer) says next service due at 24,000 mls or 12 months (therefore adding 10000)

The official service booklet says a FIXED service is 12 months or 15,000 miles.

The reason I think it is now FIXED is when i twist the trip reset button it says my service is due in 3500 mls time.

I have done 11500 mls since I've had it so that adds up to the 15000.

However 12 months passed a few days ago and the SPANNER hasn't appeared telling me my Service Is Due! Perhaps it will on 1st August??

The easiest solution may be to call back into the dealer for guidance, or if for whatever reason you do not want to go back to them why not simply pop into another local Skoda dealer..?

I think your service book says 15000 kilometres (i.e. approx 9375 miles) and not 15000 miles? I would think your car must be on variable in that case.

Of course, whther they put the correct oil in for a variable service is a completely different matter!

Yes fixed is 12 months or 15,000 km. Does the display say how many days remaining until service? I would say you are on variable still as the interval for that is 2 years or up to 18,000 miles depending on how the car is driven.
