Hello All

I was just wondering if there is an easy way to tell if i have curtain airbags in my new octavia scout? it has airbag written on the pillars up the side of the windscreen, is this them? as i thought they stretched all the way above the rear doors. I have now had the car 3 days and it is probably the best car i have ever had, anyone debating whether to get one just do!

Yes the markings on the pillars denote airbags fitted. For some reason they no longer label each pillar on 2009 onwards

Only the front pillars have the airbag markings because that is where the gas generators that inflate the airbags are. These markings are to ensure that the emergency services don't inadvertently cut through one while cutting the roof off. As there are no generators in any of the other pillars there is no need for any other labels.
