A few laps at oulton in the fab vrs last week

Featured Replies

Heres a small vid of a lap in the dry and one in the wet, with a few pesky clio 182's ;)

Very impressive! Was it as sure footed as it seemed on the vid? The Clios seemed to be pushing very hard to not really keep you away from them...

Damo

it suddenly rained...

Good laps. Fair play for still going at it in the rain.

What are the vibrations I can hear from 0:45 to 1:00.

I actually said "Oh ****" at 1:04 as I thought he'd move out of your way. Bad driver

lol Clio's a bit all over the place!

they look like Clio 172s

Tell you what, those clio drivers are shocking, Ive got a vRS and have driven loads of 182's and the fabia is shocking through the bends in comparison.fair enough on the straights but they 'should' muller you through the bend, although they might well have had crap tyres on since the clips are cheap to buy now, but have the guys who have em can't afford to put the best tyres on

On a side note, did you get complaints? That was some tail gating you were doing there!!

On a more positive note, it seemed pretty well hooked up in the rain.

fake

fake

How do you think it's fake? Looks fine to me

I did think it looked sped up at first

I wouldnt class the Fabia VRs as shocking through bends I would just say its not as adjustable as the clio in the corners, if you are smooth with the controls you can carry a lot of corner speed even the standard brakes are not too bad and have plenty of feel the only thing it needs is some £30 race brake fluid its a cheap and easy mod. As regards the tail gating when the clio boys saw the skoda fab coming there was no way they were going to move over ;) so I had to force them into a little error! The VRs in the rain is very sure footed with its slightly softer suspension to the track stuff and longer wheel base and I think the sport contact2 works really well in the damp I think it is a great little package on track in stock form.

Im going rockingham on friday for its first track session. Not expecting much tbh,my last car was heavily modified and the fabia feels shocking in comparison.

Mines awkward in the rain, im running alot more power so find traction in the rain gets annoying, and i think the stability control is far to intrusive

I never run with the TC on track in the wet or dry you have more control and its quicker off,its only the second gear corners it spins up a wheel for me so i try to go deeper in the corner and square it off for a faster exit.

Rockingham a good circuit just dont get to close to the wall on the banking ;)

not been rockingham before, not cheap though, £199, but its open pitlane for the whole day, with free passengers, drivers, and instruction
