FMIC and the crash bar

Featured Replies

So I was looking over the Forge FMIC guide on how to fit it (as I'm very tempted with this mod) when I noticed the front crash bar covers most the panel. Have people noticed any issues with air flow or do they just not bother putting the bar back in place - and run a safety risk?

Many have taken a notch out (like I did) and many have drilled holes in it. I personally think the horizontal element of the bar provides most of the structural strength in an accident so I don't see a problem with hacking about a bit with the vertically positioned part of the bar.:)

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have a pic of the section cut out?

doesnt the forge cooler come with a modified crash bar?

Not according to the pictures on their site. :(

Look at the last page or two of my build thread (click my signature). :)
