Was searching for a Haynes manual for the Superb - but there doesn't seem to be one as far as I can tell. Did seem to find a maintenance manual that talks a good talk at least, on rapidmanuals.co.uk.

Anyone know about this site and whether or not their stuff is any good? Price of the manual is just £5.99 - which seems pretty cheap I'd have thought. Downside is that it's only available in electronic format - so if you want it in your garage you can add the cost of printing it out.

They also refer to it as the Mechanic workshop manual - in case that helps any...

Haynes 4279 (B5.5 Passat) covers most things if your Superb is a 4 cyl model.

It's riddled with the usual Haynes errors and omissions - wrong engine oil specified for PDs, cambelt replacement procedure incorrect, wrong bolts on brake calipers defined as "single use", no mention of front inner pads being handed on Teves calipers etc. etc.

Anyway, just remember reassembly is the reverse...

And there I am, thinking my inexperience at servicing cars might not be a problem as long as I had the celebrated Haynes manual. Was only planning on performing simple procedures but still - maybe I should practice on my other car that didn't cost so much before I start pulling bits and pieces out of the Superb.
