Dealer fitted Eibach springs on the Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi all. I'm hoping to order an Octavia vRS in Candy White. The spec I want is: Xenons, Leather heated seats and rear parking sensors. Has anyone had the Eibach springs fitted by the dealer and if so would you have any pics?

Also, I'm in two minds whether to fit coilovers instead. I have Weitecs on my Fabia at the min and love them. What sort of issues would fitting coillies have with the warranty?

Thanks,

J

You will find quite a lengthy thread on this subject (a couple of weeks back) but in a nutshell OEM lowering springs for the hatch are no longer available (I had a dealer search the network). Estate springs are still available but limited stock. The thread goes through the in's and out's of fitting non OEM Eibach springs, effects on warranty etc. I have an estate on order as I wanted to fit OEM dealer supplied springs. I did not consider the hatch for the reason already mentioned.

:( I'll have a chat with the service manager tomorrow and see what they say. I really want to lower it simply for looks but also I know it'll improve the handling (although the handling is pretty damn good on the MK IIs)

Thanks.

there are some before/after pics on my blog (link in my sig below).

Thanks Rob. I remember seeing your car when you first posted them pictures. It really does look the dogs lol. Did you have any warranty issues by fitting your Weitecs?

Thanks

No issues. I guess if I had some future problem that was suspension related the dealer wouldn't play ball, but the weitecs have their own warranty anyway.
