hi there guys, need some help pls..the ASR and ABS warning lights on my octy 1 has turned on but it seems to run alright..any ideas? before i go to a mechanic..any ideas much appreciated..

ASR - a traction control system. ABS - Anti-lock brakes.

They both use the same wheel sensors so that may be where the fault is, but it needs codes reading to confirm.

It could also be low alternator output; are other systems like the air con and radio shutting down?

Could be several things. Get the codes read.

If you want to try something on spec that's cheap and easy, remove the standard green 30 amp blade fuses on top of the battery, give their sockets a clean and either clean or replace the fuses. One of them supplies power to the ABS unit and may have been arcing in its holder.

If that doesn't work , as above, get the codes read.
