I'm considering getting a rack & I keep getting lured in towards the Mont Blanc rack CBC1 & attachment CFK26 especially as the price is quite good. Or is it....

However I've never ran a M/Blanc rack before. Has anyone here got or used this rack & can they advise me if it's a sound purchase or not. It's main use will be for carrying a bike or 2 & once or twice a year a top box, for those lovely family breaks in Cornwall/Devon.

I haven't got the rack but I have got Mont Blanc bike carriers which were not only a bargain at under £100 for 4, but they're are excellent quality and definitely up to the task.

I can wholhearedly recommend these guys - not only are the Altera bars second to none build quality wise, the customer service from Roofbox is first class.

I use these with 2 Barracuda cycle carriers

The only thing to look out for is that the fixing centres on the Octy Hatch can cause issues with certain roofboxes (see detail on the website)

Also the bars for the Pre Facelift and Facelift are identical - same codes

I appreciate the recommendation but this comes in about £45 up on the Mont Blanc's plus the ones you recommend are 'Aero' bars & I thought i'd need adaptor to use my Thule bike carriers & this is more expence again. Food for thought though. Thanks for the info.

What is the price of these Mont Blanc bits, couldn't see that from the link you left.

Have seen these particular ones on Amazon for £76.

Don't know what they're like - look to be OK as far as roof bars go.

Am thinking of some myself. If you get them let us know your views.
