Skoda Spray Paint Can

Featured Replies

Hello there,

It's not my lucky month. After successfully dealing with a couple of dings and scratches using my touch-up stick, I now have a scrape low down the bumper which needs a little spraying.

Does anyone know - do Skoda sell spray cans through their garages? Car is a 59 Octavia in Brilliant Silver Metallic (code 9156).

Thanks in advance.

Try Halfords they do spray paints with OE colour codes.

Yes they do and are reasonably priced and a good match.

You can order them, yes. If I remember right, they are about £7 for a small can, but that does quite a lot. Halfords ones are OK but you might be lucky to find brilliant silver. They definitely do diamond silver and black magic though.

I went to Invicta Paints and they made an aerosol up from the colour code I provided, perfect match for colour and the delivery nozzle (which is far superior to the halfrauds carp) gave a lovely even spread of paint.

Hello FRiends,

forgive me for jumping in here, but it is regarding the thread topic!

My new Octavia is fine, but my 7 year old Fiat Doblo has several dings and scratches its collected over the years. Would cans of spray paint be suitable? Also I ain't a DIY expert!

Frank.

It's not old at 7 years so the paint shouldn't have faded. Regarding the finish, it depends what you want to achieve. With good preparation, and decent quality paint the results will be ok, however if you have the time and patience to wet sand in between coats and machine polish after the final coat of lacquer has dried and been knocked back with 2000 grit wet and dry paper, the finish can be as good or better than some body shops.

Hello Lee and Pete,

thank you both very much for your replies. I do appreciate your suggestions.

Chips away sounds good. I'm not confident that I would get a good finish doing it myself.

Once again, thank you friends!
