Featured Replies

I bought my Fabia back in March 2011 from Perry's Vauxhall. I got a puncture on Wednesday just gone and when I went to change my wheel for the spare so I could get to workand I had no Wheel nut key for the locking wheel-nut. I don not recall ever seeing the kit either. There is also another problem to this too. The tyre iron (sorry dont know its proper name) doesnt even fit any of the standard wheel nuts as they are too big. I called Perry's who have basically done nothing for me at all other than pass me from one person to another. They are adiment that they supplied the key but can not explain the wrong tyre iron!! Also when I looked at one of my other wheel locking nuts it was completely different to the one that is on the wheel with a flat. So does this mean that they should have supplied me with two keys? Sorry to rant on but I am going in tomorrow to give them a one on one slice of my mind, I'd just like some preperation for it. Cheers in advance

Dave

You'll need to contact a Skoda Dealer. You are unlikely to be able to get the key alone, and will likely need a new locking nut set.

tyre iron - wheel brace..

tyre iron - wheel brace..

Oh! I thought is was an impliment for hitting tyres a la golf?! :giggle:

Sounds like the bolts are a difrent size? Post pics up, are alloys standard or aftermarket???

Is it the wrong wheel brace (tyre iron)?

What is the measurement across the flats of the brace?

When I got my VRS, I had no locking wheel nut key.

I went to Skoda, they got a kit out to find which one matched my wheel nuts.

Then ordered the correct one for me, took 2 days & cost about £12.00 if I remember rightly. :)

Even a full set of Skoda lock nuts is only about £20.

It's impossible to answer the query about the wheel brace without access to the vehicle. One question though; you do realise that the standard spec includes plastic covers for the wheel bolts?
