Order times?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I'm reading a lot on here that new car orders seem to be taking forever and as I'm considering getting a new vRS this is slightly off putting. Why are things taking so long for people to get their cars?

My dealer told me simply because skoda uk did not win enough country allocations from the factory this year to cope with demand.

Dealer says now if you ordered you are looking realisticly 9 months to fulfill a vRS order and he says demand is as high as ever.

I ordered in mid feb- 4 month to begin production, 1 month later it arrived.

Everyone is being given different reasons. The simple answer is no one can give you a definitive answer and just one item on your spec list can mean the difference between a 6 month or a 10 month wait.

I had to wait 21 weeks for a Roomster, so not a long wait compared to others. The strange thing is in all the press releases and annual reports car production is up on previous years. However, if you read through the figures production in Europe is down, it is the Asian markets where VAG are pushing production.

If you really want a vRS then look for a car that is available at a dealer or be prepared for a long wait.

I ordered my VRS estate at the beginning of the year, delivery date back tracked until March 2012.

Cancelled it and bought a cancelled order, slightly different options than I wanted but happy anyways.

Cancelled orders, ex demos or low mileage 2nd hand are probs your best bet at present, 8-9months minimum wait if you order now.

Not better in Norway ,the production capacity at the factory is blown, they cant produce enough cars, the demand is to big.

Placed my order for a monte carlo week 13,mine in still on unconfirmed week 40+ 1 mont delivery, was told 3,5-4 months expekted wait.

Same thing here, some are lucky and get their cars fast, people have ordered after me and got their cars already,****es me off.

maybe canceling.
