Upgrading the look on my 98 octavia tdi?

Hi all new to the skoda scene, just got my first one today, a mk1 octavia tdi glx, on a s reg, in red, just fancying sprussing it up abit, already looking at getting a VRS interior and VRS wheels, just wondering what i can do about the exterior ie, bumpers? if i was to get VRS bumpers from say a 2002 model would they be a straight swap or do they use different bumper guides? This aint my first VAG group car, previously ive owned mk4 golf tdi and gti and leon cupra, all advice and suggestions are apreciated thanks
