Reversing Sensor on Furby vRS

Featured Replies

Get my Furby tomorrow 01/03/05 and want Reversing Sensors fitted but told by dea;er cannot do.

Anyone got them fitted to a vRS

RUBBISH, they are listed as an extra. When I bought mine, cos the car they got me didnt have them, was offered them at factory fit price, & the dealer would fit them.

In the end didn't bother, as you very soon get used to the length of the car, Now if it was an Octy, then thats a differnt story.

( unlesss youve moved from a smaller car to the Furby ).

Dealer showed me the options list which said available on Classic & Ambient fitted as standard on Elegance but no mention as an option on vRS.

But I take your advice and will get my man to take the bumper off and have a look.

Have had them fitted on my last 2 Octys - no problems

Answer: nope as they have the double-rear-bumper thing going on. You are better of getting a third party one, they are cheap, work just as well (probably the same parts). The only catch is you'd have to wire it in yourself & fit it yourself, but considering the labour charges that's probably not a bad idea anyway :)

Thanks was getting it done by 3rd Party anyway - not paying Skoda prices and probably get a better job done anyway.

Errrrrmm, the dealer has fit my parking sensors (apparently).

Pick the car up tomorrow so can confirm with pics....

Did not ask for Xenons cause thought too much - can they be retro fitted when I have some more spondoolies

I'm no expert but there has been many threads on this - the general consensous is that it would be very expensive to retrofit as you also need headlamp washers + wiring in the auto-levelling etc etc.

I think others have has as much success just with changing the bulbs - might be worth a look into!

So where do I get the bulbs or what do I ask for in the goodie shop

Little tip mate - use the search button

However in this instance i've found a few for you:

Clicky 1

Clicky 2

Clicky 3

That should be enough to get you started!

The Fab vRS options list seems to change depending on who you ask GRR.

Not sure why - but it is rather annoying :(

I look forward to seeing some pics of them fitted to a VRS. I've got a genuine Skoda set here that I'm trying to get round to fitting.

I also have a third party set that I intended to fit to another car and i can assure you the Skoda kit is much better. The thrid party kit coast around

Stu - I reckon the Skoda one may well be better quality, I am guessing the labour would be the real killer for simple goods. Same with small PC bits, the shipping charges tend to be 10x the cost of the item :)

And yep - pics please :D :D

My dealer quoted me

Ok guys - here's the piccies !!

Did they paint them or are they bare plastic?

No offence but do think you really need them ? ;)

Did they paint them or are they bare plastic?

Just had a look and they are painted, but not black magic.

That's great guys, I can now book the fitting in confidence. Noticed you only have 3 not 4 sensors any reason?
