I heard a slight knock coming from the front end the weekend so had the car in at my local independent garage for them to have a look at.The offside cv boot has split and most of the grease has been lost so its booked in for next Tuesday.Total cost will be £162.00 which i don't think is to bad.

So is that quote for re-greasing and a new boot or do you get the CV joint too?

Just had the car back from independent Automotive UK Longford road Coventry who fitted a new cv joint and boot for £247 which i don't think was to bad and the car was also valeted to a high standard aswell.
