Sluggish with air con

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have an annoying problem with my 2006 Elegance 2.0 tdi DSG Octy 2.

The car is fine when I am accelerating or don't have my foot on the gas. However if I am cruising at say 50 I get a very slight jumping. The issue tends to mostly disappear once the engine temp has reached 90 OR if I have the air con off. On a very hot day it can actually stall the car at traffic lights until the engine is warm.

With the air con off it is fine - so I went and had it re-gassed. I think the problem mostly went away but is now back?

Is it likely I have a leak in my air con or is it likely to be something more serious like the compressor?

Thanks

Dave

I think this sounds more like an issue with the idle stabilisation or the cold enrichment than with the air.

Well I can rule out gas as I decided to go and get it checked. All the right pressures etc.

At my last service the dealer said a code was coming up that the battery is becoming weak. Should make any difference to this should it?
