New head unit installed now no dash backlights

Featured Replies

Hey,

I've got a 2005 skoda fabia 1.4 ambient. I installed a double din head unit yesterday and after installing it my dash doesn't light up when I switch the side lights on. I checked the fuses and it doesn't appear to be a blown fuse. Could I have unplugged them or loosened the connection. I took the vents and hazard lights button out to install the new hu. I checked the obvious fuses could itbe that they are not correctly labelled. I don't really want to have to check every single one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do the heater controls still light up? If yes, you have disturbed a connection to the dash (although it's all done with large multi plugs.) If no heater lights, you have a supply problem.

Thanks,

I took the head unit out as I had to swap the red and yellow and just got my hand in and managed to get them back on so yeah must have been a loose connection.
