So, who's for a drive around Moscow?

Got a young friend from Moscow staying with us right now - must ask her comments in the morning. She has just passed her (Moscow) driving test and today I quietly used the Yeti park assist without pre-warning her and making no comment. When I got out of the car to cross the road to the village shop she remained transfixed in the passenger seat with her jaw still dropped in amazement. when I returned to the car no comment was made till I manually drove out of the space when she expressed disappointment that the car did not also do that manouvre for me.

Driving pretty much anywhere in Russia is an axperience and good if you like adrenaline. :D

Traffic laws are not exactly fixed... as police are generally open to a bribe. It can make a huge difference to thier low salaries.

Which is why you get rich people driving supercars through busy roads like it's a slalom.

Makes Paris traffic (Can you say l'Etoile?) look like a drive in the park.

This is most dramatic "moscow drive" I've recently saw:

More the reason for an in-car video camera!

Was driving in town yesterday night, coming onto a set of traffice light at 30 mph, the car in fornt of me decided to stop violently in front of a green light, the car behind me was close but nothing really happened. These people do not belong to the driver seat!

Pretty terrible!

The videos illustrate my point above exactly.

Expensive cars, wealthy owners, no fear of the law.

Or of death it seems.

Big balls or small brains?

Big balls or small brains?

They have a brain?

Those type of people usually end up with some sort of serious physical disability in addition to their existing mental one.

pure madness! but I bet a 17 year old can insure a car for less than here!

It looks like a tank would be the best vehicle there, at least when you consider the way they drive.

Crazy !!!

:whew:
