IS IT TRUE?

Featured Replies

Hi is it true that through maxi- dot, you can have the lights stay on until you can get to your front door? Forgotten what it's called!

The feature is called coming home lights and leaving home lights (CH/LH)

Dont believe this can be set on maxi-dot.

It's called coming home mode, but I don't know if the fabia does it. If not through maxidot, you may be able to do it with vagcom.

If you have auto lights and light sensor you can set the times via maxidot.

Otherwise it's a VCDS setting.

Vdcs yes why don't skoda give you a list of options you can get / want

Seb, you should find your 1.4TDI Fabia has it already. Mine has, and although mines the 80ps level 2 trim, yours will have it I'm sure. Your manual should tell you how to activate it. As has been said it's not Maxidot and I would not have thought you need to have it VAGCOM activated. It's there too, on the CR1.6 I bet, as just about every car has it these days. With mine you just fiddle with the flasher switch to operate it. Can't quite remember which way you push/pull it but each pump of the switch gives you 30seconds of headlights. You can also operate parking lights on individual sides of the car with the same switch. Check you manual Seb.

Thanx EM, don't think ive seen it but will have a look again, wear my glasses this time, there's a lot of stuff not activated on the crtdi like staging why don't they say before you receive the car there's even a audible alarm which is not switched on , if you want it that is! Would they do it without charging , it's crazy they have not told the customer what's available the mechanics didnt have a clue what's available!!

Borrowed a vcds cable the other day and tweaked a few things. Here's a link to my post:

I'm sure there's more to be found including turning on your fogs as turning lights but I didn't manage the coming home lights.

Well I've had a look through the MFD menu on the maxi dot, nothing much there but looking through YouTube there is much more info on the continental cars , comfort audio and loads more why does the UK specc cars have a limited menu ? Will the dealers charge for switching on some of the hidden stuff?
