Detailing Pics

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Just thought I'd post something back to the group having read lots of usefull info on here regarding detailing.

Intro - A week after I had the car I removed the stealers stuff (claying) and then polished - sealed - waxed. 3 months on and the Coly 476 is still beading

After some hot weather and not having had a wash for a while, the poor thing looked like this:-

and this (even an ugly bloke with a camera got stuck to the mirror!)

Wheels covered in brake dust:-

Now when I clean the car, I tend to focus on giving a particular area some further attention. e.g. one week glass, etc. This time I wanted to clean under the sills as 3 months in, small amounts of tar etc. was sticking to them and some dirt was there too (think I plowed a field!)

Hope the next post is ok... I use the product on the left for the bugs and the one on the right for the sills:-

The front after both the bug treatment and washing (Megs Gold Class) That's a chewed up dogs ball on the floor btw and not anything that goes onto the paintwork!

You can see the wash waffle that I used (yellow) and the sponge i use for bugs and wheels.

The sills after both the tar remover and washing (Megs Gold Class):-

The wheels looking better - I use Chemical guys orange degreaser (diluted) before cleaning the wheels. Oh and I used my new toy (detailing brush on them too :D )

Front and back in the next pics:-

So there we go - just a few pics to say thanks for some of the help I've got from here.

When washing the rest of the car, the dirt comes away pretty easily. I would think that's the Coly helping?

Cheers

Carl
