Paint problem on my VRS

Featured Replies

I had the boot up doing my final cleaning and noticed two small blisters on the underside of the spoiler. Since then i have taken it back to the dealer and there having it sorted.

Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem?

Thinking back I'm sure I've seen posts with people saying that they've had paint problems with the vrs

Stone chips yes but not actual paint problems and will happen on all Fabia's. Even my Mk1 has a fair few. Nothing with blistering paint that I know of. Which reminds me I need to find a paint depth gauge

Think it was a specific problem with the spoiler blistering paint? Thought that I say some post with this, isn't the painting process different with the mk2 paint is different?

Would have though all the paint is the same. I'm sure I've seen other cars with blistering paint on spoilers, a Type-R, old Mk1 vRS and others.

Edit: But this was quite rare

Had paint blisters on the roof of my Octavia and Skoda refused to repair, saying they were caused by stones.

These things do happen but it's doesn't look like a big problem. Hopefully they'll sort it for you

Just an update on my spoiler blisters, it has been into Brockfords in Needham Market and they have done a good job respraying the spoiler. While i was waiting for it to be done i had more blisters come up on the leading edge of the spoiler so i'm pleased its all done! . Dealer has been really good and helpful about it as well.
