Can't skip track on CD s in changer

Featured Replies

Just bought an OCTY II VRS yesterday with stream unit and 6 CD changer in the boot.

I loaded the 6 CDs and all went well until I tried to skip track, neither the "forward" or "back" skip buttons seem to do anything.

Tonight I loaded a CD into the head unit and this worked and skipped fine. Skipping track on the CD which is in the head unit is done from different buttons so I'm guessing the skip buttons are either broken or it's a problem with the CD changer?

Anyone got any ideas or had this fault?

You should be able to use the same buttons at the bottom of the headunit to skip the CD that's in the headunit AS WELL as using the buttons at the side of the display, so test those first to see whether or not they are in fact broken.

Single ">" to skip track, double ">>" to fast forward.

Thanks Chris, I've just tried the lower < > buttons as you suggested with the CD in the HU, the buttons didn't work, looks like a return trip to the stealers for a repair or replacement :-(

No probs.

As an alternative you could consider installing a Connects2 adapter instead of the CD-changer (it's v.simple), to give you an aux-in for your headunit.
