Autolock and...

Featured Replies

I was hoping my new Fabia Monte would have the autolock function turned or be programable via the mfd settings like my Touran. Also this double plip to unlock all doors is a pain in the bum can I change it as it doesn't mention how to turn it off in the manual again you can do this via the mfd settings on my Touran.

Really thought this would be the same

No you can not do it through the MFD !, John good phoned me today SUK and said that there tech heads have told him yes there is loads of stuff on the MFD but I would have to pay the dealers to enable the hidden codes, bl00@y skoda !!!!!!

You need somebody with VCDS. It's a 5 minute job with a laptop. You can also do needle staging, teardrop wiping, change comfort indicators from 3 flashes. Did all these myself with a borrowed cable. Fogs as additional turning lights and coming home/leaving home lighting appears to be available also. (I tried the CH/LH lighting but didn't manage it)

Chill :giggle:

I don't think you can use the ebay cables because the newest version of the VCDS software only works with genuine cables (Rosstech constantly update firmware and software to keep up with VAG). The older versions of the software that are supplied on a disc with the copy cables (essentially it is 'cracked version' that is ripped off) have limited functionality and won't include the most recent updates to include the new Fabia, the Audi A1 etc. Buyer beware!

I'm saving up to treat myself to a genuine cable at christmas (£265, ouch!) but we have 2 new skodas in the house and the cable comes with lifetime updates so adaptations are on tap and we will have indefinite fault code reading and clearing for when the warranty expires.

Chill? so chilled ive got icicles on my icicles :)
